Street Food in Brazil – Rio de Janeiro! #Brazil #RioDeJaneiro #BrazilianFood #streetfood
Ever since I first learned about the city of Rio de Janeiro when I was a kid growing up, I have wanted to visit. Finally, the time has come. In this Brazilian street food tour in Rio de Janeiro, we’ll go to eat some of the best street food snacks and dishes, some hole in the wall style Brazilian food restaurants, and also visit some of the most unbelievable and gorgeous sights and attractions in Rio de Janeiro. It’s one of the most beautiful cities I’ve ever visited.
Here’s the Brazilian food and things we did:
Mineiro, Sausage Sandwich – 5 BRL ($1.26) – For Brazilian breakfast we headed to Mineiro for his neighborhood grilled sausage sandwich, topped with his house made aioli dressing, cheese, and lettuce, and his own home-made chili sauce. He’s not only an amazing guy, but his sausage sandwich is outstanding. When you’re in Rio de Janeiro, you don’t want to miss it. Located just outside Siqueira Campos MRT Metro station (Map: https://goo.gl/maps/EXRj3LPihezUd5EKA), sets up in the morning about 7 am.
Trem do Corcovado – 65 BRL ($16.44) – Christ the Redeemer – I pre-bought tickets online for the tram, so when we arrived we just picked up and printed the tickets. The tram took about 20 minutes and Christ The Redeemer at the top was breathtaking. (بیشتر…)
NOTE: Hope you are having a great day! This video was filmed back in January 2020, that’s why we are not wearing face masks and sharing food. But please now take extras safety measures by wearing a mask, social distancing, and washing your hands frequently. Be careful, and stay safe. Thoughts and prayers to everyone affected in Miami right now.
MIAMI, FLORIDA – Welcome to Miami! In this ultimate Miami food tour we’ll eat at some of the legendary restaurants in Miami including the Cuban sandwich, Cuban burger, and colossal sized Florida stone crab claws! #Miami #Florida #MiamiFood

PHANG NGA, THAILAND – I loved visiting Phang Nga, one of the most beautiful provinces in Thailand. The people are incredibly friendly and hospitable, and the food is ultra flavorful. One of the restaurants I was looking forward to visiting most when in Phang Nga, Thailand, was Malita Halal Oxtail Soup (ร้านซุปหางวัว(มาลิตา) – known for her Thai oxtail soup, but also with a full range of different Halal southern Thai food. #Halal #ThaiFood #Thailand (بیشتر…)

St. Stephen’s Basilica – Since it was on the way to the first restaurant, we stopped for a quick visit to St. Stephen’s Basilica, a Roman Catholic basilica in the heart of Budapest. It’s spectacular.
Első Pesti Rétesház – Hungarian Restaurant – Located right in the heart of Budapest, around the corner from St. Stephen’s Basilica is Első Pesti Rétesház. Local Hungarian friends had recommended the strudel there, so that’s exactly what I went for. I’m not sure about the other food, but their strudel is fantastic. I tried a sour cherry and a cabbage, both extraordinary. Total price – 1,300 HUF ($4.29) (بیشتر…)

On Day 5 of our trip to Jordan we traveled outside of Amman, first to Dana Village in the Dana Biosphere Reserve. We had an incredible local lunch, and were served a dish called muqlaba, which literally translates to upside down – it was an incredible local meal. Finally, we moved onto Petra, and after checking into our hotel, we went to Petra by Night.
00:23 Breakfast and Leaving Hotel – To begin the day, I had a quick breakfast as the hotel in Amman, and then we packed everything up and headed off to do some traveling around Jordan. Driving towards the Dana Biosphere Reserve, we took our time, stopping off at a variety of different rest stops. One of the things I grew to love immensely while traveling in Jordan was Arabic coffee, and the good news is that coffee was available at every rest stop along the highway. (بیشتر…)
On Day 6 of our round the world trip for food, we were Muscat, Oman. We started off visiting some attractions in Muscat like the fish market and souk, then had some amazing Omani food, and visited a couple beaches. The highlight of the day for me was eating Omani street food mishkak and an Omani meal of camel and rice.
00:51 Chai karak and cheese bread in the car – A common Omani food breakfast is the combination of tea, which is usually called chai karak, and cheese bread. So after meeting up with Mustafa, we had a quick breakfast in the car before driving over to the Muscat fish market.
On Day 4 of our trip to Jordan, we started off in Amman where we had a wonderful simple and local style breakfast of manakish, which are rounds of dough which are flattened, topped with simple things like zaatar and cheese, and baked in an oven. We then took a day trip to As-Salt or also just known as Salt, a historical city about a 45 minute drive from the center of Amman. The highlight of the day for me was the giant shish kebab meat platter that we ate for lunch! (بیشتر…)

Thank you very much to Vivian & Dianna for taking us to eat two amazing lunches in Athens! They also have a design company: http://www.twoiscompany.eu/
NOTE: I didn’t include prices in this video because Vivian & Dianna graciously paid for everything. But my guess is that each meal was somewhere between 30 – 40 EUR (maybe a bit more for the seafood feast?), judging from other food I ate in Athens.
Taverna Agrinio – The first Greek meat restaurant we went to is called Taverna Agrinio, known for their variety of grilled Greek meat. They cut us up a selection of all the different meats, and put them on a paper platter and topped it all with fries and oregano. It was an amazing Greek food feast! (بیشتر…)
PORT ANTONIO, JAMAICA – So the idea of the day was to go to Moore Town – which is a Maroon town, and to find some food. There wasn’t too much happening in Moore Town, so we headed down to Port Antonio, and went to the market, at some Jamaican street food in Port Antonio, and then continued on to have a lovely dinner on the waterfront.
#PortAntonio #Jamaica #JamaicanFood
Moore Town – Moore Town is one of the Maroon towns in the mountains of Jamaica. Maroons are formerly enslaved African descendents who went into the mountains and forests. I was interested to learn more about the Maroons, their culture, and see if it was possible to find any local food. It was a little quiet, but it still was a good experience to walk around the town a little bit, and Matt, Ras Mokko, and I had a good little walk to the waterfall. (بیشتر…)

Jamaican Seafood – Today was dedicated to Jamaican seafood – and what a another memorable day in Jamaica it was. We scored big with some amazing fresh Caribbean King Crab, which I didn’t even know as a thing – and we had an amazing day of fresh Jamaican food!
Smokeez by the sea (https://goo.gl/maps/xcbegGg7tnXZUNCz8) – Our first stop for the day was in Montego Bay, Jamaica, at a laid back chill out spot called Smokeez by the sea. While we were there, a fisherman came in with his fresh catch including barracuda. So along with the pepper janga (crayfish) and some jerk octopus, we also got a taste of ultra fresh escovitch barracuda. Amazing place, great hospitality.
Far Out Fish Hut – North Coast, Jamaica – Next up we started driving down the North Coast of Jamaica, and made a quick stop at Far Out Fish Hut to eat a simple dish of fish tea. It was mainly fish bones and a few spices boiled until comforting and delicious. It’s the way to get started on a Jamaican seafood feast. (بیشتر…)

If there’s one food you think about when you think of Jamaica, it’s probably Jamaican jerk – and that’s for a pretty good reason – it’s one of the greatest dishes of Jamaica and something they should be proud of. When you’re in Jamaica, you must taste the real deal – and we had a chance to visit one of the best places to eat Jerk pork, and on the same day, Andrew – a Jamaican jerk competition champion, cooked us an entire jerk pig! #JamaicanFood #Jerk #Caribbean
Huge thank you to Pineapple Beach (https://www.instagram.com/pineapplebe…) for hosting us, to Andrew for cooking an amazing jerk pig, and Matt (https://www.instagram.com/jamaicafood…) for arranging everything!
Tastee Patty – Jamaican Patties – But before getting started with Jamaican jerk, we first had some Jamaican patties, my first taste. They were incredibly tasty, better than I had imagined. I can see how they are so addictive and popular.
Fresh market in Montego Bay – Next we headed to the fresh market in Montego Bay to buy some of the main ingredients to make an entire jerk pig. One of the spices you can’t make jerk without is allspice, known in Jamaica as pimento. (بیشتر…)
If you have one day to eat, this German food tour of Munich will give you some serious satisfaction. I have to admit, I going to multiple back to back restaurants to eat German food is a challenge – German food is so hearty and so filling. By the end of this food tour in Munich, I was ready to sleep immediately!
Here are all the details about the restaurants and prices of the dishes I ate:
1. Andy’s Krablergarten
Andy’s Krablergarten is known for their schnitzel, and they serve it up in a huge way. The cutlets are made from pork, and they are big and fried fresh. I tried a Hamburg schnitzel with eggs and a Munich style schnitzel with horseradish in the breading. It was fantastic.
Address: Thalkirchner Str. 2, 80337 München, Germany
Price: 10.90 EUR per schnitzel (بیشتر…)
